Publishing Differently

After more than 10 years running a non-profit literary press that played by all the rules, I decided to do things differently. The rules don’t make sense anymore. It seems the choices are joining the AI-driven, self-published slop race, fighting your way through the MFA-profit machine literary popularity contest (who can be the most serious!), or putting yourself at the mercy of a young intern at commercial agency. I don’t like any of those options, and I know some of you are with me.

BWP is my baby, but I refer to it as “us” because I consider the authors, freelancers, volunteers, and vendors all part of the team that makes this happen. If you have an idea that fits our current projects, I hope you consider joining us. Nothing that has touched AI please.
